The round tower in Roscam is just a stump about 10 metres tall and with a diameter of less than 5 metres. The ruins of a church are 50 metres south from the tower and there's also an ancient graveyard whose tombs are now little more than rocks coming out from the ground. The sea air is corrosive and I think that the stone those slabs were made of was particularly sensitive to the saltiness. The sea is less than 100 metres from the tower. We walked on a rocky beach and our ankles were sorely tried by the ruggedness of the beach.
