The area of the well seen from the south.

This holy well is associated to St. Kevin's and his monastery, though it might be much older that the settlement.
It isn't marked on the OS map or the touristic map of the monastic site. We'd like to thank Pat for taking us here.

The well is in the centre of a low mound, and is accessed from the north-northeast (20°) with four stone steps.
The well was dry at the time of our visit. On the northeast side of the well there are two rag-trees, and judging by the amount of offers and clooties left on those branches, the well still receives lots of visitors.
