This small church is in ruin and overgrown, and lies along a narrow lane lost in the countryside south of Ardfinnan. It was a Carmelite Friary built around 1315 and it was probably dissolved in the 1540's. It has a long chancel with a wonderful two-light window, a nave and a central tower. A south transept might be a later addition. Its window is decorated with two beautiful carved heads, one on each jamb. The one on the left-hand side jamb is of a bearded man, the other one shows a sad person flanked by a floreal carving. The building is about 18 metres long and 6 metres wide. It's aligned to east-southeast (105°). Looking upwards under the tower the holes for the bell ropes are still visible.
