Next to the entrance to the Knappogue castle there's a field where three standing stones are arranged in a triangle. The first one is only 35 metres from the road and is 1.80 metres tall, 60 centimetres wide and about 40 centimetres thick. The second stone is 11 metres at 250° from the first one, it's 2 metres tall, 50 centimetres wide and thick. It seems that it's a different kind of rock than the first stone and its surface is adorned by grooves, bumps and holes that sometimes are passing through the material. The third standing stone is 26 metres north sharp from the second one, it is 2 metres tall, 80 centimetres wide and about 30 centimetres thick.
From this field the upper part of the Knappogue castle is visible behind the line of trees.
