The alignment seen from the south.

This is the second attempt to see this stone row. On the first one, in September 2003, I failed, but this time I succeded. The OS map says that the stones are at the foot of the hill, next to the crossroads on the R704, but once there you'll see that they are halfway to the top of the hill.
We stopped the car and climbed the hill eastwards for about 160 metres, rising 16 metres.
The alignment consists of three stones arranged in height order and has a north-northeast to south-southwest axis, with the tallest stone at the south-southwest end. The alignment is 4.70 metres long. The south-southwest stone is about 1.25 metres tall, the second stone has a height of about 1.20 metres. Unfortunately the third stone has fallen and now lies on the ground. The site looks like it's been recently disturbed.
Atop the hill there are some wind turbines, and when I was visiting the stone row there were some cows and a bull too.
They saw me two minutes after I got to the stones and in a few seconds they ran down the hill to tell me that I was unwelcome. For this reason I wasn't able to take any other measurements. I only could walk quietly down the hill while the bull was following me at a very close distance until I was out the barbed wire.
