The Nine Stones are aligned along the side of the road. Looking north over the county Carlow and mount Croaghaun .

To reach this stone row we had to drive up the winding road towards the top of the Mount Leinster.
The mountain reaches 795 metres of height, luckily we stopped way before.
The stones are dwarf stones and the row is almost invisible on the side of the road.
Like the name itself says, they are nine stones aligned east-west (255°) along a length of 10 metres.
Their height goes from just 35 centimetres to about 70 centimetres. The fourth stone from the west has a concrete base that keeps it upright.
The coordinates have been taken at the middle stone of the alignment.
The reward for this long and steep drive up here was the magnificent view over the Wicklow Mountains and the counties Carlow and Laois.
