The outline of the St. Kieran's church seen from the west.

It's just the outline of an old church, the walls are less than 1 metre high, with a doorway to the west (295°). The ruins were discovered in 1875. The building was divided in a nave and a chancel where the stone altar is still visible against the east wall. It was dedicated to St. Kieran, the founder of Clonmacnoise.

We came here twice in the past. The first time on July 6th, 1994. The second time on May 20th, 2002.
