We saw a red dot on the OS map, and the red dot was marking a Cross-inscribed Stone, and since we were in the area we gave it a chance.
Actually it's not what we thought it was. We expected an old graveyard with a particular burial marker or a wayside cross. We didn't find anything like that. About 500 metres past the small village of Bunaw, driving north on the R573 we found a cattle gate that closes the access to a private lane. We jumped over this gate and walked for about 70 metres and we found a small and low mound. Two small stone slabs lie on the ground and both carry a cross incised with a pebble. The larger slab measures 42 centimetres by 39 centimetres, the cross incised is 25 centimetres by 17 centimetres.
It's not a place to remember or to advise people about.
