These are the ruins of a Carmelite priory dedicated to St. Mary.
It was founded 1332 by a member of the de Burgos family. It was dissolved in 1574 when it was granted to Thomas Lewis.
It was restored in 1737.
It's a single nave building. In the east (95°) wall there's a two-light ogee window. There's a pointed arch doorway and an ogee window in the south wall and a small rectangular window in the west wall. There's another doorway in the north wall protected by an extension.
The interior has some burials and a monumental tomb with no name. Under the east window there's a huge block of stones, probably a crypt to which the small ogee window in the south wall is the only access.
