This Augustinian priory was founded by the Order of Canons Regular in the 12th century on the area of the early monastery of St. Ruadhan. Over the following 100 years the church was burned down and rebuilt twice. The building that we see today was built in the 15th century.
The only interesting feature of this building is the west window with a carved head above it which depicts Aveline FitzGeoffrey, the wife of Walter de Burgh. The east window of this priory once had a carved head representing Walter de Burgh, the founder of the main church in Lorrha, but it was later used as a doorway in the nearby St. Ruadhan's abbey.
The inside of this church has nothing to offer and is quite uninteresting.
