This cult stone is not marked on the OS map.
It's along the driveway to a private estate but easily accessible mainly because the estate is abandoned. It's likely that the stone was a garden feature for the estate during its better days.
Unlike the Turoe Stone, this stone is unprotected. Though this freedom of access makes a visit complete, on the other side it makes the stone vulnerable, especially towards the elements.
The stone is placed in the centre of a round bed of river stones which in turn are surrounded by a radial cattle grid.
It's an oval granite boulder carved with spiral motifs in the La Tène design. Another difference between this stone and the Turoe stone is that in this case the motifs are incised on the surface rather than carved in relief.
Its measures are 90 centimetres of length and 70 centimetres across, with the longer diameter along the southeast-northwest (115°-295°) axis. Its height is of 60 centimetres.
