In a flat and open field on the southwest side of a narrow lane in the townland of Laughanstown there's a tall and slender stone cross. It misses the arm on the north (15°) side, the other arm is very short. It stands on a pile of stones about 70 centimetres high, it's 2.23 metres tall, at the height of the arms it's 61 centimetres wide, the shaft measures 32 centimetres in width and 20 centimetres in depth.
On both sides of the cross are two images carved in the stone. On the east side there's a whole human figure, dressed in something that looks like a robe, on the west face there's a head that seems to have a long and thin body. Both figures are badly worn and it's almost impossible to tell who they were.
Less than 100 metres down the same lane is the Tully church and across the lane to the north is the other Laughanstown cross.
