To the east of the Glendalough Upper Lake is this very old and plain stone cross.
This cross stands on a low mound made of rocks, earth and grass, and it's aligned northeast-southwest (35°-215°). It misses the southeast arm.
It's 1.23 metres tall, 39 centimetres wide and 16 centimetres thick at the base and the arms are 67 centimetres wide.
This cross and the others close by were probably used as stations on the pilgrims' route.
Another plain cross is about 25 metres south from this one.
