In the same field as Our lady's Well there's this well. It is unusual that two distinct holy wells are so close each other.
The name of this holy well is Tobar Rí an Domhnaigh, Irish for King of Sunday's Well.
It looks more like a prehistoric tomb than a well. It has a large flat capstone, supported by some side stones, and a chamber where the water is. The opening faces north (0°).
Actually it is a souterrain now filled with water.
Souterrains were underground chambers used to store food or to find shelter in the early centuries of Christianity. The presence of this souterrain and other eartworks in the same field might suggest that the area was an ancient settlement.
