Second visit to this portal tomb after the one on May 9th, 2002. In my memory it was smaller, but as a matter of fact it's a huge portal tomb, very similar to Leac an Scáil. It's 2.96 metres tall, about 2.30 metres wide and about 3.90 metres long. The capstone, which is 40 centimetres thick, seems to have slipped back a little. Its backstone is propped up by an iron bar. The stones have many cracks and cavities and in one of these cavities on the door stone somebody stuck a 2 cents coin. The entrance to the portal tomb faces northeast (50°). This tomb is in a field beyond the railway track, about 150 metres north of the R294.
