Gleann Cholm Cille is famous for its "Turas", the journey, the path that people follow from one station to the other one during their pilgrimage done between June 9th and August 15th. The round of the stations is about 3 km long. The stations are both in the village and outside the village.
The second station of the Turas is a cross pillar erected on a rocky outcrop, exactly 100 metres west from Turas 1. It's a regular stone slab with a rounded top. Its main faces are oriented southeast-northwest (135°-315°).
The southeast side has three geometric patterns arranged vertically. The other side has more classic patterns, like crosses and knots.
The pillar is 1.75 metres tall, 51 centimetres wide and 13 centimetres thick.
In the green outside the Gleann Cholm Cille Folk Village there's a modern pillar inspired by this one.
