An elegant gateway gives access to this holy well at the end of a 120 metres long path.
The area is very well kept. The holy well is next to a horseshoe shaped hedge that encloses a statue of Our Lady.
The well is an oblong pool within a whitewashed stone structure with three steps that go down towards the southwest (235°).
The site is associated with the Knights Templar and is close by Kilwirra Church.
