The standing stone as it appears from outside the field.

The Ballylig standing stone is in a pasture in the property of a farm with the same name. I rang the door twice, but nobody was in. Only a little dog yapped from the inside. So I jumped in the field and walked northeast for 85 metres.
The field was the pasture for a mare and her colt. And there were dozen of sheep as well, some of them watched me closely during my visit. They're usually harmless, but they don't make me feel welcome.

The stone is 2 metres tall, 1.10 metres wide and 90 centimetres thick. On the west side there's a bump that looks like the favourite sheep's spot for rubbing themselves.
