I don't know if this round tower is an old tower now restored or if it's a recent building. It looks nice, anyway.
I'll look for every information about it.
UPDATE: May 26th, 2011 - I've incidentally talked to Margaret, a woman who lives in Mullingar and who gave me the right information. The tower was built around the year 1900 with the stone from a local quarry owned by Margaret's grandfather. It's amazing that the fate had me to talk to this woman exactly 2 years after the visit to the tower.
