This is most likely the southeasternmost prehistoric or medieval monuments in Ireland. Getting down here is quite a goal!.
We tried to visit this place six years ago, on June 16th, 2007, but we gave up because it seemed that it was a hard trip. We were wrong.
The ruins of this small church are in the middle of a wind farm, and the tall wind turbines detract a lot from the place. Their humming sound is quite disturbing as well.
The church might date from the 10th century, it's 8 metres long and 4 metres wide. It has a single doorway on the north (340°) side which is only 73 centimetres wide and the walls are 75 centimetres thick. The window behind the altar is only 16 centimetres wide. There's another square window in the south wall. In the surrounding graveyard there are some very old gravemarkers. There are two tombs dating from 1800's.
