The very much overgrown ruins of a church are in the graveyard on Faughart Hill. Not much remains of the church apart from a section of the northeast and southwest walls. A large yew tree grows at the northwest end of the building. Strangely enough the church is aligned to the southeast (120°).
Close to the west corner of the church is the grave of Edward Bruce, King of Ireland, who was killed in the Battle of Faughart on October 14th, 1318. If not for the church, this is a good reason to come up here for.
Other nice headstones and grave markers can be found in the graveyard.
A few metres northeast from the church is the St. Brigid's holy well.
