A very small and very old church, probably part of the monastery founded by St. Colmcille in the 6th century. Actually the style of construction and the size are typical of the Early Christian times.
The church measures about 4.50 metres in length and about 3.50 metres in width. It's aligned to the southeast (115°) and on this side there's a small stone altar, with some odd items set on its upper side.
The floor of the church is below the ground level, but judging by the three steps from the outside ground on the northeast side, this was the original level when it was built.
