The holy well behind the more famous Grianán of Aileach.


It is said that this area was visisted and blessed by St. Patrick, so the well at this site was dedicated to him.
The well is a spring of water about 75 metres south of Grianán of Aileach, and is covered and walled with flagstones. Above the well is a wooden wheeled cross. Three stone steps approach the water from the south-southwest (200°).
