In the tiny village of Malin More there's a wonderful alignment of portal tombs and a pair of standing stones over a quite straight line 175 metres long, on a roughly east to west axis.
I started with the large portal tomb at the east end of the alignment and I have numbered the monuments from 1 to 9. It has been speculated that monuments from 1 to 6 might have been joined and covered by a giant straight cairn.
This is the portal tomb number 4 in the alignment. It's in an adjacent field to the west from the first three monuments. This portal tomb is in the northeast corner of the field. Two sides stones, the rear stone and the northeast portal stone are still in place. The northwest portal stone has collapsed outwards and as a consequence the massive capstone has fallen to a side. The capstone has an almost rectangular shape and measures 2.11 metres by 1.33 metres and is about 40 centimetres thick. The burial chamber is accessible.
The monument is 3 metres long when measured on it northeast side, 1.36 metres tall when measured at the northeast portal stone and 1.35 metres wide without considering the fallen portal stone.
The entrance faces northeast (30°).
In the boundary wall north of the tombs alignment, between tomb 4 and tomb 5, is a large block of quartzite.
