Passage Tomb I is a surprise. It may look like a usual mound when seen from a distance, but it opens in its beauty when the visitor gets closer. There are a few and far apart stones of the kerb. On the east-northeast (80°) side there's the entrance to the burial chambers. A rather long passage gallery opens in a round space with seven burial chambers around the perimeter, divided by orthostats, like in Cairn L. Some of the stones in the tomb bear interesting decorations like patterns similar to stars and zig-zags.
During the excavations carried out in the 19th century a good number of charred human bones were found in some of the chambers.
The cairn has a diameter of about 17 metres.
