Gleann Cholm Cille is famous for its "Turas", the journey, the path that people follow from one station to the other one during their pilgrimage done between June 9th and August 15th. The round of the stations is about 3 km long. The stations are both in the village and outside the village.
The 10th station of the Turas is a cairn with a cross slab on top of it, in the middle of a field at the east end of the village of Gleann Cholm Cille. The slab on the top of the cairn is 85 centimetres high, 44 centimetres wide and 10 centimetres thick. On its east (80°) face a Latin cross is incised, but the carving has almost completely faded away.
