The red and yellow stick is 1 metre long, for scale.

The field where this tall standing stone is was the grazing place for five adult horses that weren't that happy to see me on their grass, and tried to stop me in any way from getting close to the stone.
Eventually we found an agreement and I succeded in my intent, but I couldn't touch it because the five horses were very jealous of the tarred fence around the stone and every attempt to jump over it was stopped by them.
The stone, also known as The Long Stone, is 6.25 metres tall, even if the sign inside the fence says it's 6 metres tall, and about 1 metre wide at the base. It fell in 1931 and some years later it was re-erected in its original socket in the ground.
Getting into the field wasn't an easy task. I couldn't find an easy access to it, so I climbed over the hedge along the road and found a spot where the thorns and the nettles weren't too thick. Anyway this didn't avoid me to get stung by the nasty nettles, and the burns from them lasted almost a week!
