I've been dreaming of visiting this church again for nearly 20 years! For no particular reason, it has nothing special to show nor has it a notable history. As a matter of fact I don't know anything of this place. I just liked the position it has, high on a mound next to the N66 between Gort and Loughrea, or probably I loved the feeling of a virtually secluded place, though the busy road is very close, or probably I just wanted to relive the moments of a trip so faraway. We were here for the first time on December 9th, 1995, on a frosty and clear winter morning. Not much remains of this church, the building is split in two segments, the east (90°) end with a nice two-light splayed window, and the west end with a narrow window and a bell-cot. All around there are many beautiful and interesting grave markers and slabs. It may worth a visit while in the area.
