In one place there are a holy well and a very tall ogham stone.
The site is on the side of a local road with a handy parking space. The area is neat and well looked after. In the middle of the green area there's a beehive-like stone structure that is the well house. A tree is growing up out of it and its roots are taking over the stones. The well is dry, inside the well house there are only small stones, coins left as offerings and spider webs.
The holy well is dedicated to St. Olan, patron saint of Aghabullogue parish. He lived in the early years of Christianity in Ireland and was the preceptor of St. Finbarr who founded a monastery at Gougane Barra.
St. Olan's feast day is September 5th, and on that day rounds are made to him and a mass is celebrated at this well.
The stations of the cross make a half of a circle around the place.
An ogham stone is at 4.20 metres south of the well.
