From the east. The cross is 3.13 metres tall.

This tall and slender sandstone cross stands in a private field, not far from Cloonshanville Priory and is protected by a steel railing.
It might resemble the Carrowmore Cross and it might date to the 12th century.
It is 3.13 metres tall, 40 centimetres wide at the shaft and 69 centimetres wide at the arms, and about 20 centimetres thick. The main sides are aligned to the east-west (85°-265°).
The cross stands on a plinth 1.80 metres square.

On each side of the cross a crude boss has been carved in false relief at the intersections of the arms.
