The ruins from the southeast.

St. Cummin's church is in the Kilcummin graveyard to the east of the town of Oughterard.

Nearly nothing remains of what once could have been a nice church. The east (90°) section and part of the south transept are all that remains.
The east gable stands at its full height, with a narrow splayed ogee window in the wall.
A lintelled window is in the north wall of the chancel. In the southeast corner of the chancel a more modern chest tomb has been built.
The south transept retains its nice three-light tracery window. An altar tomb is under the window. I think that the transept was joined to the nave with a chancel arch, whose a fragment is still visible on the ground, among many other fragments of the church walls and old headstones.

We were caught by the rain during the visit and had to leave.
