The stone seen from the south.

The Ballybeen standing stone is in an urban context, very much like the Portavoe standing stone, but it sits in a public garden among a group of residential houses at Millars Crescent in Dundonald.
Unfortunately, the proximity of the houses is always a great risk, and this case is no exception. The stone has been sprayed with coloured paint and the northeast face has the major damages.
The stone is 2.20 metres tall, 1.40 metres wide and 1 metre thick.
During my visit some kids were playing around and one of them was attracted by my red and yellow stick and tried to steal it.
