This is the first intact Clapper Bridge that we saw and we found it by chance, because we had just re-visited Gougane Barra holy well and when we drove away we wanted to see the lake from a different point of view. So we had a look at the lake from the east, then we wanted to go back but the road was too narrow to turn the car so we kept on driving to find a suitable spot to turn the car around and accidentally we saw this bridge.
The bridge crosses Owen na Shrone roughly from east to west and is 15 metres long. It's made of 5 stone slabs laid on 5 stone supports.
An interesting experience!
