This wonderful leacht cuimhne is at the crossroads between the R339 and L3105.
It's a stone and mortar square pillar measuring 1.40 metres in plan, with a projecting ledge above it and a reconstructed pyramidal cap. The pillar is about 2.20 metres tall, the cap is about 2.10 metres tall, for a total height of 4.30 metres.
On the southeast (140°) face of the pillar there's a 22 centimetres deep niche which once housed a plaque now disappeared. The niche measures 84 centimetres of height and 66 centimetres of width. It seems that the missing plaque was dedicated to the memory of Captain Oliver Brown who died in 1686, his wife Julian who erected the memorial, and their posterity.
