The red and yellow stick is 1 metre long, for scale.

The first cross in the Slievemore graveyard is among the other graves. It has a sketched round head, with a diametre of 41 centimetres. Probably it once had very short arms that were eroded by the elements during the centuries. It's 1.02 metres tall, 28 centimetres wide and 14 centimetres thick. It faces west-southwest (240°).

What a great day to visit this rugged and wild area of Ireland. We spent the rest of the day in the Deserted Village, then walking on the slopes of Slievemore mountain and visiting the villages of Achill island.
