This boulder burial is only 25 metres southeast from the Bohonagh stone circle, and, like the stone circle, it shares the same fate of being hidden by the high grass and thick brambles.
The large boulder is about 2.50 metres long and about 2.00 metres wide, with an estimated weight of about 20 tons. Its main axis is along east-west (90°-270°). It rests on six or seven smaller stones and one of them is made of quartz. A large amount of even smaller stones lies underneath the boulder. Its surface is pocked with dozens of small hollows or cupmarks.
