At the far end of a private field there's a low mound surrounded by stones. Atop the mound is an ogham stone which is 1.27 metres tall, 42 centimetres wide and 39 centimetres thick.
On its north-northeast (20°) edge there's the inscription that has been slightly damaged, but it's still possible to read "ALATTOS MAQI BR...", that is "Alattos son of Br...".
Nearby there's a dried up holy well which is dedicated to St. Mobhi.
Kilmovee is the parish where this ogham stone is.
It is said that this well, along with two other wells, sprung up when St. Mobhi hit the ground with his staff because he had no water to baptise the local people.
