The small church seen from the northeast. Mount Nephin is in the distance.

This church was built on the site of a previous church founded in the 6th century.
What we see are the remains of an oratory, or a nunnery as the name might suggest.
Templenagalliaghdoo (Teampall na gCailleach Dubh), means The Church of the (Black) Nun.
It's a very small building surrounded by a dry stone wall enclosure.
The oratory measures about 7.70 metres in length and 4.60 metres in width with an entrance in the south-southwest (195°) wall. The walls are about 50 centimetres thick.
The surrounding boundary wall is 17 metres by 23 metres.

About 150 metres south from the oratory there's Errew abbey.
