This tomb is in very well kept area, with its own field, fence, stile, stairs and sign.
The sign bears the generic name of "dolmen" probably because the classification of the monument is dubious. It might have been a passage tomb under a long gone cairn, or a portal tomb.
Whatever it is, it's been clearly reconstructed, badly reconstructed, I'd say.
The capstone is about 75 centimetres thick at the northeast end and only 28 centimetres at the southwest corner, it lies flat on a pile of stones and it's difficult to tell where the entrance was.
The upper surface of the capstone is very smooth but has a number of cupmarks.
The tomb is 2.20 metres long, 2.75 metres wide and 1.17 metres tall.
