When we visited St. Patricks Holy Well on May 28th, 2009, we had just a glimpse of this church across the road, I wonder why...
This time we came to this church on purpose, unfortunately under a heavy rain.
According to some sources it might date from the 9th or 10th century. Today it's just a poor and overgrown ruin, with the east (80°) gable being the most intact. The south wall has suffered major damages with the central part, from the south doorway to the east, almost totally missing. The structure is unsafe and the access is not allowed.
The most interesting feature of this church is the Lepers Window near the northwest corner in the north wall. Lepers were allowed to take part to the masses and Holy Communion through this narrow opening in the wall.
