This Famine Cross stands at a Y-junction on a loop road off the R113. It seems that in the past it was located as a roadside cross on the R113, but due to some road works, it was moved to its present location. It stands on a circular stone base that has a diameter of 2.43 metres and a height of 1.05 metres. On this circular base is a low square plinth 95 centimetres across, with a height of just 23 centimetres. The granite cross is undecorated, with a solid rounded square wheel. The cross itself is 1.81 metres tall, 1.02 metres wide at the arms and 30 centimetres wide at the shaft. The overall height of the monument is 4.47 metres. The visible main face of the cross is aligned to the northeast (40°). Like all famine crosses, it must have been erected sometime after 1850.
