The remains of the gatehouse on the south-southeast (160°) side of the Madame's Bridge.

Madame's Bridge enters Fethard from the west side, where the West Gate once was.
Nothing remains of the West Gate, apart from a stump of a gatehouse on the south-southeast (160°) side of the bridge. From this gatehouse a very long strecth of wall runs along the left bank of Clashawley River down to Edmond's Castle and Watergate.
