The church seen from the west.

The ruins of St. Colcille's church stands on the north side of Lackagh graveyard.
It's a rectangular church with three walls still standing. The east wall is missing.
The entrance is through the pointed arch doorway in the south wall. In the same wall, towards the east end, there's trace of a narrow window, but it seems it has been partially blocked up. There are no other windows in the structure.
Above the doorway is a rectangular stone slab with the incision of a cross with the terminals expanded and open.
Inside the doorway there's a stone hinge. It seems that the church was abandoned and in disuse in the 17th century.

The building is aligned to the east-southeast (105°).

A few burials, both recent and ancient, are within the church.

The weather started changing to the very worse while I was visiting this church. It was the beginning of the Storm Hector that lashed Ireland between June 13th and 14th.
