In the Leigue cemetery north of Ballina there are the ruins of a nice church. The north, south and east (90°) wall are badly overgrown, and the only visible part of the building is the west wall, with a doorway and a rectangular recess over it. This was probably the place for a large plaque or slab now missing. Two small niches are on either side of this doorway that leads to a vaulted chamber which is, apparently, the crypt for some burials. There are names of people and dates written in black paint on the whitewashed walls. I don't know if these are the names of persons buried here.
There are some interesting burials around, including a few table tombs to the north of the church.
