We were here for the first time on June 25th, 1994, it was about time we came back and see the place again.
This Dominican priory was built by Felim O'Conor in 1443. The buildings are in complete ruins and the whole site is completely fenced off apart from a small passage on the north side. There isn't much to see apart from the elegant archways of the south transept, its large window and some very old and interesting grave slabs, some dated back to 1737. Northwest of these ruins flows the Ogulla River, whose waters spring only 1.5 km west-northwest from the Ogulla holy well.
UPDATE: June 10th, 2019 - The fence around the priory ruin at Tulsk had been removed, so we thought it was a nice idea to stop here again and have a better look inside. We had the chance to see details that we missed during the visit in 2011.
The first five photos in this page are from the visit in 2011, the remaining photos are from the visit in 2019.
