The portal tomb is at the end of the track.

This huge portal tomb is in the woods behind the Howth golf course at the Deer Park Hotel. From the hotel there's a signpost to the dolmen and the visitors are welcomed, in season, by a powerful rhododendrum flowering. The portal tomb appears at the end of a dirt track that departs towards northwest for 370 metres. The portal tomb has its portal stones facing southeast (140°).
The massive capstone has slipped back and now it partially rests on the ground. The east portal stone leans outwards by 28° and it's 2.04 metres tall. The west portal stones is 2.72 metres tall. The tomb still retains the door stone.
The monument is 5.87 metres long, 4.78 metres wide and 2.55 metres tall.

We visited this place for the first time on May 8th, 2000. On that occasion we had to wander in the park for some time before we were able to find the tomb, because there was no sign to direct us here. More, the unfriendly staff of the hotel forbade us to walk along the shortest route and, probably, intentionally misled us in the attempt to deter us.
